Kristin Sorci

With a lifelong background as a gymnast, dancer, musician, and coach, Kristin began her young training in jazz, tap, and ballet. Enjoying her studies in both dance and tumbling, she naturally navigated into Swing dancing, and as a teen, quickly became a Lindy Hop, Blues, and West Coast Swing instructor, performer, and judge both nationally and abroad.

With a 26 year career teaching Vernacular Jazz, Lindy Hop, West Coast Swing, Balboa, Blues, Charleston, and various other swing era dances, Kristin is always focused on breaking down music to movement, creating a unique rhythmic style that is complex and intricate.

Kristin has not only been a titleholder or held placements at such esteemed events such as The American Lindy Hop Championship, The Open Swing Dance Championship, Camp Hollywood/ National Jitterbug Championship, Swing Diego Dance Championships, Capital Swing Convention, and Boogie By The Bay, she has also been a multi-season featured choreographer and coach for the the hit television show "So You Think You Can Dance", the Los Angeles COLSAC Theater Company, IAGG, a performer/instructor with Cirque Du Soleil, a multiple venue owner and organizer, and a board member for various swing dance organizations.

Kristin is eternally grateful for her time spent with the originators of Lindy Hop, Balboa, West Coast Swing, and Rhythm Tap, and has spent her life teaching, judging, and choreographing — traveling the world while spreading the joy of Swing dancing.
