May 2026: Balboa, with Ammie and Sam
Join Ammie and Sam in a foray into foundational balboa posture and moves. If you haven’t danced balboa before, you’re encouraged to join us, but please be sure to attend week 1 (May 7). After week 1, please only attend if you’ve had some prior exposure to balboa posture and a balboa basic step.
Balboa was born in the crowded dance halls of southern California in the 1930s, and is known for its close embrace, fancy footwork, and tiny footprint on the dance floor. It is often - though not always - danced to faster swing music. Also, Huntsville loves Bal. Come learn with us!
