Hey everyone! We're proud to announce an All Lindy Weekend- two nights of dancing and a series of classes taught by the wonderful Tim and Sarah! Come on out to work on all those things that make this dance so much fun!

Class 1
Sassy Swivels - How to do them and how to lead them!
Drool-inducing swivels don't just happen. They actually require a technique. Follows will learn the secrets of the trade and leads will actually learn their role in making their follow the envy of the dance floor.

Class 2
Conversations

JUNKIN’
11am-12pm. We’ll dive into classic blues movement that originated in juke joints,
learning & refining movements that define this gritty style of blues.
BALLROOMIN’
12:20pm-1:20pm. Come get comfortable with the more elegant style of vintage blues
that was danced at the Savoy Ballroom.

LESS IS MORE
1:40-2:40pm. YES! You can actually improve your dancing by doing less!

MASTER’S STYLE CLASS

Starting April 20th, Nashville will begin hosting weekly dances at the Nashville Ballroom. Are you looking to get your weekly fix of good, regional dancing? Then Nashville's your place every Friday Night!

Saturday, April 14th will be a blues dance and will last from 8pm to 1am. $10 cover, $5 for volunteers. Dance included in workshop weekend pass.

This is a high energy fast paced class for experienced Lindy Hoppers. We’ll dive into complex moves and the techniques to take dancing from great to WOW! This is not class for the faint of heart, or those who don’t want to work hard. Note: Dancers need to be comfortable with swingouts and charleston at a variety of tempos. If you aren’t certain if this class will be right for you, please come early so Tim & Sarah can evaluate your dancing.

Jump Session will be offering a progressive three month Beginner Series on Tuesday nights. Starting in March, we will be offering a Beginner Swing Class, Beginner Lindy Hop and Beginner Balboa.

March:
Part 1: Beginner Swing (March)
Tuesdays at 7pm

April:
Part 2: Beginner Lindy Hop (April)

Taught by Tim & Sarah Munsell.

Students who take Beginner Swing and dancers comfortable with East Coast Swing will be ready for our Beginner Lindy Hop class with Tim and Sarah in April. Beginner Lindy Hop continues with the triple step, more work on lead-follow partner connection, additional six count moves, and adds the energetic eight count swingout that is so fun to dance and looks great on the dance floor!

Part 3: Beginner Balboa
Taught by Corey & Susan Manke

Our regular Friday night swing dance will be held at NASHVILLE BALLROOM, located at 817 2nd Ave. S., Nashville, TN 37210

This is due to a schedule conflict at our regular venue (or a spooky Friday the 13th thing :-). However, our January 20th dance will return to Jump Session (312 9th Ave. S., Nashville, TN 37203)

Come out and enjoy vintage swing as you Lindy, Charleston & Balboa!
