For those of you not in-the-know, the Orlando Lindy Exchange is the largest swing event in Florida (350 last year) and one of the largest swing events in the southeast U.S.! It's a full weekend of swing dancing - pure bliss for the lindy hop enthusiast. ORLX 5 will be held the first weekend of March, 2012. Early bird admission is only $50 for the entire weekend, that's 30 hours of dancing and a t-shirt for only $50! All active UCF Swing Knights members get a $5 discount as well. Thanks for making Orlando awesome!

Once upon a time, a group of Orlandonian lindy hoppers was contemplating different ways to improve the local scene. They had noted that, although they were fantastic, many of the follows in their area lacked confidence and pizazz. These Orlando dancers wanted to bring out the best in their ladies, so that the follows could achieve their awesome potential. At the same time, the group wanted leads to know how to guide the follows in ways that were conducive to pizazz-y-ness. Thus, the idea of CGSO was born.

Gainesville is throwing its very first Lindy Exchange! Our crew has been working hard to provide you a weekend jam packed with great music, awesome venues and wonderful weather, here in Sunny Florida. We are featuring:

Due to overwhelming response and positive comments about the last ORLX, we're doing it again! This time we expect even more dancers and we're already making improvements to make ORLX 4 the best one yet.

Stompin' at the Swamp is an annual workshop weekend hosted by the Florida Swing Dancing Club.

Classes will cover dances that will allow a comprehensive look at swing dancing. While appropriate for relative beginners, the classes will offer content which even advanced dancers may not have had yet.

Our desire is to draw dancers of all levels to Gainesville by providing something new for everyone. We'd like everyone to leave with an extended feel for the progress and interconnectedness of swing.
