For those of you not in-the-know, the Orlando Lindy Exchange is the largest swing event in Florida (350 last year) and one of the largest swing events in the southeast U.S.! It's a full weekend of swing dancing - pure bliss for the lindy hop enthusiast. ORLX 5 will be held the first weekend of March, 2012. Early bird admission is only $50 for the entire weekend, that's 30 hours of dancing and a t-shirt for only $50! All active UCF Swing Knights members get a $5 discount as well. Once upon a time, a group of Orlandonian lindy hoppers was contemplating different ways to improve the local scene. They had noted that, although they were fantastic, many of the follows in their area lacked confidence and pizazz. These Orlando dancers wanted to bring out the best in their ladies, so that the follows could achieve their awesome potential. At the same time, the group wanted leads to know how to guide the follows in ways that were conducive to pizazz-y-ness. Thus, the idea of CGSO was born.

The Orlando Lindy Exchange is a fun-filled weekend of swing dancing. Now on its fourth iteration, The Orlando Lindy Exchange has a proven history of being a fantastic swing event, perfect for the lindyhop enthusiast.

This event is about creativity through inspiration. Our desire is to have an opportunity to express ourselves with out dance labels. Whether you’re a Lindy Hopper, Westie, Blues or Tango dancer, when it come to Great music we become Dancers, the rules get thrown out the window. We want to catch the spirit of that creativity and share it with the world.

Orlando Dance Enthusiasts are proud to present The Orlando Lindy Exchange 2009, "Juiced Again"!! Orlando has not had an exchange in 5 years and we are so excited to bring it back! It is going to be a fabulous weekend with inspiring Bands, DJs and Dancers! We will even be dancing in some of our original venues from when Orlando first started dancing, including "The City Arts Factory" which at the time was known as "Rat Packs". So whether you are a far away old friend, a local or have never been to Orlando, we would love to share this wonderful experience with you!
