I rarely put dances that aren't exclusively swing on the calendar, but both The Dance Club and Patton James have always been huge supporters of the dance scene in Huntsville. Many dancers have gotten their start there. Come out and celebrate the first 17 years and many more to come. Check out the attached flier for more information.

The Birmingham Swing Dancers invite you to a swing dance on Friday, February 26 at the Fultondale Friendship Hall, 1024 Old Walker Chapel Road, Fultondale from 8:00 – 11:00 pm. Music by Patton James & the Synchromatics, a modern jump blues, rocking swing band from Nashville, Tennessee. From the melancholy sounds reminiscent of a YOUNG SINATRA to the high energy ROCKIN' JUMP BLUES of the 1940's, this band has it all. Admission is $11 for BSD members, $13 for non-members. Casual attire. Light snacks, soft drinks, water and ice are furnished. No alcohol or smoking allowed.

As some of you may know, Carolyn Harrell Bong, an avid dancer passed away recently after losing her battle with cancer. In her memory, the Ballroom Dance Club of Huntsville has organized a dance with Patton James to benefit the American Cancer Society.

Please plan to come remember Carolyn, support the American Cancer Society, and enjoy a great time with Patton James, (and maybe work on your fast lindy a bit).

We'll be kicking off the Swing Fever weekend with live music from Patton James and the Synchromatics! This'll be a UAH dance at the ExhibitHall. Patton James brings the Rockabilly sound from Nashville giving you some fast swing to put the bounce in your triple-step! For all those attending the Swing Fever workshop, this is your chance to get warmed up and meet the crowd you'll be dancing away the weekend with! Come fill the Exhibit Hall Saturday night!
