So, this Wednesday, 16 June, we will be shagging 6:30-8:30 pm at the Brahan Spring Recreation Center. The rec center is the white building located behind the Senior Center (Drake Avenue) at 3770 Ivy Avenue. Easiest access is to turn off Drake, North, and it will be on the left just after you pass the Senior Center.

After I left Hog Wild last week about 8 p.m. to go see my new granddaughter in B'ham, Betty told Hal we would no longer be able to use Hog Wild as our venue on Wednesday evenings. The legitimate concern is that they were not taking in enough revenue from us. ("Lessons are free, spend money at the bar.")

Unfortunately, we were given no warning. We'll not be able to meet there tonight, but Hal has arranged that we can meet tonight at the Eagle's Club. See you there at 6:30.

Shag Sundays have been moved to Shag Wednesdays! Here's your chance to try out carolina shag with weekly dance lessons taught by Pete Slater. Lessons will be from 6:30 to 7:30 with open dance from 7:30 to 8:30 to accomidate their regular evenint performer. So come out, learn, drink and dance!

We're back................! We had wonderful time but our boat is still rockin here on land. (So Steve ~ please no spinning for Margie and I for a few weeks). I want to thank Norris for stepping up and teaching WCS the last two Thursday's. Thank you to Patrick for being the "sound man".

Now its time to think about summer and the schedule. After much discussion with our instructors and feedback from many dancers ~ were going to try something new.

We have something new for you...! Patrick, Rex & Betty (the manager) have arranged for us to use the Hog Wild Saloon on Thursdays - free of charge to provide another opportunity for you to tune up your West Coast Swing and get out and dance during the week. Beginning Thursday, Jan. 22, 2009 6:30pm - Rex Sturdy will be teaching West Coast Swing Lessons at HOG WILD SALOON on Memorial Parkway. This will be a "free" one hour lesson with open dance to follow until 9pm.
