The most unique workshop is back for another year of intensive learning, live music, and plenty of shenanigans. This year we welcome: Evita Arce, Andy Reid, Michael and Jaya Gamble, and Mike Faltesek for a weekend of improving YOUR dancing.
There are only 60 spots available, so reserve ticket while they are only $140.

Enter the Blues is back! On Feb 17-19, 2012, the southeast welcomes blues dancers from all over the country to enjoy a taste of southern tradition, culture, and music. Teachers include Damon Stone & Heidi Fite, Joe Demers & Mike Legett, and Carsie Blanton & Jon Darvill. We will also offer 4 different competitions and have both DJs and live music. What a Dance! We PACKED the monkey! We had people that had danced for years and people who were just starting! We had High School students and college students. We had young professionals and retirees. We had the Huntsville crowd as well as people from Nashville, Birmingham, Memphis, Knoxville, Atlanta, and Auburn! The only problem the whole night was finding space on the dance floor!

Join us as we occupy Fernbank for our last Swing-out Atlanta Night of the year! We’re very pleased to welcome Kingsized back to close-out another great season!

And since we can’t have a holiday party without treats, we’d also like to thank The Atlanta Jazz Dance Preservation Society (www.atlantajazzdance.org) and Dancestore.com for providing stocking-stuffers for the attendees!

But wait! There’s more! Dames Aflame will also be there in support of their upcoming show “The Desperate Housewives of the North Pole” happening December 17th at The Highland Ballroom.

HSDS Represents at Jubilee Jazz!

Congratulations to all the HSDS dancers who competed at Jubilee Jazz. I don't think Huntsville has ever competed so much in a swing event. Tabitha Bassett, Gabriel Bassett, Huy Huynh, Briana Austin McIntire, Paul Fryer, and Rob Murphy all competed. Huy placed in everything he entered (well, finals in invitational J&J), Tabitha took first in Open J&J with Paul taking third, and Huy and Briana took first in the blues comp. What an incredible showing and hopefully a preview of whats to come in HSDS competing!
