This is a high energy fast paced class for experienced Lindy Hoppers. We’ll dive into complex moves and the techniques to take dancing from great to WOW! This is not class for the faint of heart, or those who don’t want to work hard. Drop-ins are welcome.
Note: Dancers need to be comfortable with swingouts and charleston at a variety of tempos. If you aren’t certain if this class will be right for you, please come early (or to Tim & Sarah’s Moves and Technique Class on Wednesdays) and the teachers will evaluate your dancing.

Historic Downtown McMinnville is having a 1940's Christmas December 10th. And what better way to anchor it than with a swing dance! They'll have DJ CharlieO (formerly of the the 101st Airborne Restaurant in Nashville) playing 1940's dance music from 5pm to 10. There will also be vintage cars, movies, other music and tons of events. Festivities start at 2:30. There's even a discount rate at the Best Western Tree City Inn. Call them at 931-473-2159 to get the special rate. (McMinnville is southeast of Nashville so about 2hrs away, but still, why rush home?) So go dressed in your 1940's "thread" and dance the night away!

Musicality for Dancers
This class will focus on practical ways to be musical with your dancing including the structure of swing music. This class is for the intermediate or above dancer who is already familiar with one of the swing dances – Charleston, lindy hop or balboa. Drop-in’s are accepted.

Cost: $40 for the 4 week series (with online registration) or $45 at the door/$15 per class
Megan Adair will be teaching Cardio Charleston in Nashville. This is your chance to work on your dance and your body at the same time! Work up a sweat and kick it up!
A Great American Festival Comes to America’s “Music City”
One of the most prestigious and longest-running celebrations of the arts, the National Folk Festival, is coming to Nashville for a three-year tenure beginning in September of 2011. The National Council for the Traditional Arts (NCTA), the organization that created and has produced the National Folk Festival since 1934, recognized Nashville’s unique cultural assets and strong community spirit in choosing Nashville as the National Folk Festival Host City for 2011, 2012 and 2013, the festival’s 75th anniversary year.
