Lone Star Championships is a competition weekend dedicated to social dancing with a party atmosphere. All of the contests are social dance competitions. No stress on your part, no need to prepare a routine, just come enjoy the weekend. Spontaneous, creative, amazing. Come to Lone Star.

Moondust will be playing a big Christmas concert at the Flying Monkey. Go out to dance or just to enjoy the holidays with that wonderful big band sound!

Patton is coming back to play the Christmas Dance for the Dance Club of Huntsville. It won't all be swing, but a lot of it will be swingable. Additionally, Patton James and the Syncromatics will be playing. If you haven't heard them, they're a ton of fun and Patton is a truely nice guy. It's a great event on an otherwise slow week so head on out and celebrate with the greater Huntsville dance community!

January:
6:40-7:40 pm, Beginner Swing: If you've never danced before then this is the class for you! We'll be covering a basic 6-count swing dance pattern. We'll then expand into turns and moves to help build up your vocabulary. The class will emphasize lead and follow connection/communication so that you can dance with anyone. No partner and previous dance experience is necessary. If you plan to attend, make sure to at least come to the first two lessons. Please wear comfortable clothes and flat soled shoes with little to no tread. You're sure to break a sweat.

There will be no swing dance lessons during the month of December at the University Fitness Center. Lessons will start up again in January.

Join us as we occupy Fernbank for our last Swing-out Atlanta Night of the year! We’re very pleased to welcome Kingsized back to close-out another great season!
