Since cumberland shuffle is over, I figured I'd leave a note about something our wonderful Seattle teachers left us:

The Jump Session Show is an annual event to help kick off the national Lindy Hop and Jazz event, Camp Jitterbug. After four ragingly successful years with the Jump Session Show in 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009, we are excited to make the 5 year anniversary of the JS show even more extraordinary!

Camp Jitterbug is Seattle's first in-city Lindy Hop dance camp featuring the world's finest dancers and instructors! Known as one of the top Lindy Hop events in the world, CJ is a weekend filled with workshops for ALL levels whether you are a beginner or a master, competitions, live music with some of the top musicians, top dj's from around the world, performances, after hours dancing and more.

Swing! ran on Broadway from December 9, 1999 to January 14, 2001. Through a string of fortuitous coincidences, I learned on the Wednesday before its closing that its run was about to end and snapped up two of the musical's remaining tickets.

Swing! included West Coast, Country-Western, Latin and traditional Swing dancing as well as a band and four jazz/pop singers. While it didn't work all that well as a cohesive unit, taken as separate segments, it was a lot of fun.
