Austin is home to one of the best lindy exchanges in the world. Ever. We have a thriving dance scene with lindy hop, blues, balboa and shag. We have amazingly talented djs and even more talented musicians. We have a bunch of fun activities and sites to see. Think we're exaggerating? We're not. Here's why:

ALX 2011 Features

As always, our goal is to put the "Party" into Austin Blues Party. We're going to be bringing you 2 days and 3 nights of dancing, music, and fun!

We'll be showcasing great blues bands from the Austin area, and bringing you DJs from all over the country to spin your favorite tunes.

We'll also be bringing you all of the Austin hospitality you can handle, with great food, great people, and a checklist of things to do around town.

Of course, you can also spend your day in classes with nationally known instructors. We've got plenty of fun ideas in store for you!

BluesSHOUT! has always been about bringing you the best of the best. This year, we're headed to Texas where everything's just a little bit bigger (and dare we say, "better"?). It's a Texas Throwdown!

We'll be showcasing the biggest and best of the Lone Star State. We're ready to throw down with some amazing music, some outstanding classes, and more fun than you can poke with a cattle prod. All that's missing from this Texas-sized shindig is YOU!

We are proud to announce that this year will be Austin’s tenth Lindy Exchange. ALX ten is just around the corner November 20-22, 2009.

The 3 fun filled days will consist of many hours of dancing from Austin bands, national DJ’s, and local DJ’s.

Registration opens Friday, September 25, 2009. The first 60 registrants get the weekend package for only $60. Weekend prices will increase after the first 60 people registered.
