Just a cool 500 miles north along the Mississippi River from where it all started back in St. Louis in 2007, bluesSHOUT! is landing for its sixth year in Minneapolis, Minnesota!

As is custom, Huy and Tabitha are taking the month of May off at the UFC. They will be back teaching beginning and follow-on challenge lindy hop in June!

We knew from last October that Microwave Dave and the Nukes knew how to throw down and move us on the dance floor, but it's easy to forget just how incredible a mastery of the music he has. He's like the pied piper of blues. He plays and everyone hits the floor!

We had a great turnout with a HUGE blues lesson. Tabitha and Huy put together a fantastic class for everyone and Microwave Dave moved it from the stage.

After Amber's Wedding, we're going to celebrate in style! We're going to dance the night away. But instead of the normal DJ, we'll have blues from an original.

Brotha Ric is blues to the core. He's the most down-to-earth, friendly musician you can imagine. And he's lived the blue all his life. He remembers playing washboards, washtub bass, spoons and combs cause down in the delta there wasn't any money for pianos and electric guitars. Hell, there wasn't electricity for them either.
