What a Dance! We PACKED the monkey! We had people that had danced for years and people who were just starting! We had High School students and college students. We had young professionals and retirees. We had the Huntsville crowd as well as people from Nashville, Birmingham, Memphis, Knoxville, Atlanta, and Auburn! The only problem the whole night was finding space on the dance floor!
It went so well last time we're doing it again. This may become A THING. We're doing another Regional Meetup! And one of HSDS's most devoted performers, Christabel and the Jons, is coming back to headline it!

This December, Huntsville will be doing something special. We'll be holding a regional get together for all of the swing dancers in the Alabama-Tennesse region! Just like going home for Christmas, this is a chance to sit down for a relaxed evening of socializing with other members of the area's swing dance community. And who better to headline such an event than Christabel and the Jons! So come on out and enjoy your dance family!

Come dance to the sounds of Christabel and the Jons, The Old City Buskers and The Streamliners for a benefit dance for Andrew MacDonald.The Bands have agreed to donate their time and talents for this dance. Michael Gill of Alive After Five and Blue Gill Productions will be the MC for the event.
All proceeds will be going to the Andrew MacDonald Cancer Fund. As you may know Andrew MacDonald has been diagnosed with Stage 3 Hodgkins. Andrew is facing numerous medical procedures and cost.
Tickets for this extravaganza are a minimum donation of $10.00

This Follow-Intensive weekend is designed to help beginner to intermediate level follows take their dancing to the next level. This workshop will focus on building a strong movement vocabulary for both solo and partner dancing, commitment to movement, and defeating the Wicked Witch and her evil Flying Monkeys that try to keep follows from reaching their full potential! Teachers for the weekend are Alysha Cantrell, Lettie Andrade De La Torre, Jenna Knox and special guest Lindsay Longstreth. A dance will follow the workshop on Sunday evening with Knoxville's favorite DJ/Follow Kelly Gassert!
