Thats right! Back to back Pirates! Come and listen to some rip-roaring traditional jazz played by Huntsville's own Funky Pirates Jazz Band. 1920's attire is highly encouraged. Come check them out as they play the wild and raunchy music of early New Orleans!

Moondust will be playing a big Christmas concert at the Flying Monkey. Go out to dance or just to enjoy the holidays with that wonderful big band sound!

Saturday, October 22nd in front of the Monaco Theater at bridge street, the Rocket City Jazz Orchestra and the Four Star Jazz Orchestra(the AMC Jazz Band), will be battling it out for your amusement! This is your chance to enjoy some wonderful outdoor dancing in a beautiful place. Enjoy the band dancing at Bridge Street Saturday and come back Sunday for the HSDS DJ dance at the carousel.

The Carolina Chocolate Drops are coming to Huntsville! These guys aren't necessarily swing musicians, but instead capture historical folk, blues, and appalachian sound. There should be some dancable music and, if nothing else, it'll be just the kind of music swing dancers love! A Great American Festival Comes to America’s “Music City”

One of the most prestigious and longest-running celebrations of the arts, the National Folk Festival, is coming to Nashville for a three-year tenure beginning in September of 2011. The National Council for the Traditional Arts (NCTA), the organization that created and has produced the National Folk Festival since 1934, recognized Nashville’s unique cultural assets and strong community spirit in choosing Nashville as the National Folk Festival Host City for 2011, 2012 and 2013, the festival’s 75th anniversary year.

Our Friday night back dock concerts continue with Christabel and the Jons, performing from 6-9 pm. Free admission, donations happily accepted. Rain or Shine! This is your chance for some outside dancing and a preview of the upcoming Birmingham show!

Remember that you'll be dancing in the parking lot or grace. There won't be any floor for this one.

This month, B'Ham Jam is taking a different approach and promoting some local events that will be great for dancers!

Carsie Blanton, from Philadelphia, is going to be performing at Workplay on April 28th! She's an awesome musician (and dancer) and a lot her music is danceable so you should all come and get some awesome. She'll be playing with The Wood Brothers, who the Workplay website tells me are a blues band, so it sounds like a solid night of music all around.
