PATTON JAMES and the SYNCHROMATICS
A five piece SWING band based out of Nashville, specializing in MODERN SWING MUSIC. Inspired by the original LAS VEGAS LOUNGE and JAZZ scene, Patton has given new life (along with a few new twists) to the almost lost style of performing.
From the melancholy sounds reminiscent of a YOUNG SINATRA to the high energy ROCKIN' JUMP BLUES of the 1940's, this band has it all. Enriched by strong vocals and catchy tunes, PATTON JAMES AND THE SYNCHROMATICS are truly the ones to watch.
Clay Swofford
When Jerry Lee Lewis was asked what he thought about Clay's playing he said "The boy can play, and is doing a damn good job of keeping this music alive" Clay Swafford started playing piano at age 5, and now at 25 he is well respected as one of the top up and comming blues piano players today The Clay Swafford band was formed in 2000 and has been playing blues and jazz clubs in Alabama every since as well being a big hit with the Birmingham Swing Dance Socity. Clay also holds down the piano seat for the local blues/rock band "Four of A Kind" and has also toured all over the United States with many of today's top blues bands.
DJ H^3
Huy (DJ H^3) started his musical endeavor playing the organ at church when he was just five years old. Although playing the organ and piano didn't stick for very long, his childhood was filled with music. He grew up listening to old gospels, oldies rock 'n roll, classic R&B, and jazz standards. His love for jazz, big band, and blues really blossomed when he started playing saxophone for his local volunteer big band, "Switch in Time." Since then, Huy has racked up quite a collection. Huy pools together much of what he loved as a child into his DJed sets. From the old familiar sounds of Jimmie Lunceford and Lionel Hampton to the soulful groovy classics of Lee Dorsey and Ben E. King, Huy likes to blend it all, making him adaptable to the crowds mood and energy. It's kinda like a box of chocolates...you don't know whatcha gonna get, butcha know it's gonna be good.
