HSDS Presents: In The Mood
Join us on October 24th for a beginning swing dance lesson and live music from Huntsville's own 18-piece swing orchestra, In The Mood!
With powerful brass sections that deliver screaming trumpet excitement and rich, warm harmonies, plus two versatile vocalists channeling legends like Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin, Peggy Lee, Dean Martin, Michael Bublé, Brian Setzer, and Ella Fitzgerald — alongside classics from Count Basie and Duke Ellington — the band offers unmatched variety. From high-octane swing and Latin grooves to Motown, oldies rock, pop, and funk, every set creates an irresistible atmosphere of musical magic. Perfect for any occasion, Huntsville’s In the Mood keeps the spirit of live big band music alive and swinging stronger than ever.
Before this live music event, we have an afternoon workshop for our intermediate/advanced Lindy Hop dancers with teachers Huy & Whitney Huynh! Those tickets include admission to this event, so check that out here!
