Reuel is a professional dance instructor from Nashville, who will soon be leaving our area and moving to New Orleans. Sad! COLLEGIATE SHAG
The Collegiate Shag (or "Shag") is a partner dance done primarily to upper tempo jazz music (usually 200+ beats per minute). It belongs to the swing family of American vernacular dances that arose in the 1920s, 30s, and 40s.
This is a GREAT high-energy dance, fast and fun!!! No prior Shag experience needed!
THE BIG APPLE
This is the famous group dance that has been around since the turn of the century in one form or another. Come learn the basic moves for this
vintage group dance!
9:00 - 10:30 p.m. Open Dancing . . . practice your moves and have fun!
