What: Grass Roots Rhythm with Michael Gamble and Jaya Dorf!

November is going to be the biggest month HSDS has ever seen! We have a HUGE workshop with Michael Gamble and Jaya Dorf, two master instructors from Ashville, NC: home of the fabled Lindy Focus! It will be the best swing workshop Huntsville has ever seen; specifically designed to be challenging the intermediate/advanced dancers while still being graspable by beginners. There will be something for everyone! At $60 for 8 lessons, a main dance, and two latenights you couldn't ask for a better deal! We've also talked Michael (the gold standard in swing DJ'ing to provide tunes for us at the Saturday latenight as well as enlisting the wonderful Breanna Perry and our old friend Huy Huynh to DJ as well! UAH is having the every amazing Rocket City Jazz Orchestra to play a pre-workshop dance to get your blood pumping. While not part of the GRR workshop, it'll be an incredibly fun time and a chance to get warmed up for a weekend of swing!
What: The Main Attraction - HSDS Dance with Miss Tess and the Bonton Parade!
When: Nov 21, 7pm beginner lesson, 8pm-11pm dance

What an incredible band to go with an incredible workshop! Miss Tess and her wonderful band are the sultry swing you all crave! They have a wonderful mix of fast and slow swing for all types of dancers! As always, UAH students get in free thanks to the support of the UAH dance club! Check the dance out here!
