This coming up weekend is our next HSDS dance and it's going to be a Bang!
We have Blue Savoy coming up from Birmingham. Their a band that knows how
to swing and is planning just the right songs to keep your night movin.
You can expect some excellent lindy, triple step, charleston, and even some
balboa. And definitely don't forget the Blues! We've heard the masses and
they're calling for more blues so we're going to make sure to fill your
sultry swing plate as well as spin you up with the songs that get your
blood pumpin.
Also, we will be celebrating Al and Alta's wedding anniversary. Al and
Alta danced at the original swing ballrooms and have been swingin ever
since. They have been an unwavering presence in HSDS so please join me in
celebrating with them!
Finally, this will be Huy Huyhn's last dance in Huntsville. Huy has been
pivotal in the Huntsville swing community, acting as HSDS president as well
as teaching every week at the UAH fitness Center. He has done more for
swing in huntsville and for the individuals who dance here than we can ever
express in words. So please come and show your gratitude to him on the
dance floor this one last time!
