A weekend of Balboa, the Swing Era dance defined by its understated upper body movements and intricate footwork. "Rocky Bal" features world champion instructors, top notch competitions, performances, and live music by the world's best vintage swing bands. Denver boasts some of the world's best balboa instructors, but also attracts the best balboa instructors, competitors, and performers, bringing together dancers from all over the world who want to keep America's historical dance alive.

Des Moines is excited to welcome dancers to the Heartland Swing festival, Iowa's biggest dance festival! Our swing weekend features some of the world's finest instructors and dancers. It is four days of non-stop Lindy Hop that includes classes for all levels, dances with live music and is home of the Collegiate Jitterbug Championships! Please join us next March to experience the joy of swing dancing in Central Iowa.

All evening dances are open to the public. No partner required. Join us!

We will be bringing bands like Palmetto Bug Stompers, Bridgetown Sextet, Casey MacGill, Midnight Serenaders, and Swing Papillon. There will be a late night blues room as well. Hope to you see there. Pirate Swing is a three-track lindy hop and blues workshop. We offer classes with great teachers, dances with live music, and an excuse to wear that pirate costume hanging in the back of your closet.
Our instructors are all friendly and approachable, and we provide as many opportunities as we can for you to interact with them. From advanced track auditions to dances to office hours, Pirate Swing aims to maximize your time with the teachers.

Welcome to Lindyfest 2012, Houston Swing Dance Society's 16th annual Lindy Hop workshop. Lindyfest is an intensive and fun lindy hop weekend workshop jammed packed with classes for all dance levels, soul sessions with living legends, hot performances and four endless nights of dancing. Lindyfest brings in hundreds of dancers from all across the globe to learn lindy hop from the masters and experience the excitement of Lindy Hop, all here in Houston.

Is this the Mile High Blues Festival? Doesn’t that happen in August?
The Mile High Blues Exchange is a blues dancing festival, and it happens each year at the end of March. The Mile High Blues Festival is a blues music festival. And it does happen in August. That website is at www.milehighbluesfestival.com. And while we dig what they’re doing, we’re not them. (Please note this if you are a band trying to book yourself into the Festival.)

After an overwhelmingly positive response last year at Hawkeye Swing Festival, we are proud to be back for our 7th year on the beautiful University of Iowa campus in Iowa City, IA.

Our goal is to inspire and create memorable experiences for dancers and musicians alike through opportunities to learn, perform, and compete. In 2012 we carry this goal forward by bringing you 3-days of dance experiences that include amazing live music, high energy competitions, high quality classes, and great opportunities to perform in front of hundreds of dancers from all over the world!

Come and join us for Lindy on the Rocks 2012! Lindy on the Rocks brings Lindy Hop instructors from across the globe to Denver to teach, dance, and inspire. Don't miss this chance to learn from some of the best swing dancers and instructors in the world.

You can expect at least 4 class tracks, ranging from beginner through masters. Classes are generally available Friday evening, all day Saturday, and all day Sunday.

Full-weekend passes and dance passes are available (best value), but you can also attend any class or event separately during the event.
