Is this the Mile High Blues Festival? Doesn’t that happen in August?
The Mile High Blues Exchange is a blues dancing festival, and it happens each year at the end of March. The Mile High Blues Festival is a blues music festival. And it does happen in August. That website is at www.milehighbluesfestival.com. And while we dig what they’re doing, we’re not them. (Please note this if you are a band trying to book yourself into the Festival.)

After an overwhelmingly positive response last year at Hawkeye Swing Festival, we are proud to be back for our 7th year on the beautiful University of Iowa campus in Iowa City, IA.

Our goal is to inspire and create memorable experiences for dancers and musicians alike through opportunities to learn, perform, and compete. In 2012 we carry this goal forward by bringing you 3-days of dance experiences that include amazing live music, high energy competitions, high quality classes, and great opportunities to perform in front of hundreds of dancers from all over the world!

UAH Dance Club Dance with the Rocket City Jazz Orchestra

RCJO will be playing for the UAH Dance Club. Come out and enjoy a mix of not just swing but ballroom and latin in the large UAH exhibit hall.

I'm not absolutely sure how dancible it'll be, but we've liked Brotha Rick in the past, so if you're feeling left out of Enter the Blues, you may want to drop a 5 and see the show.
